Interested in trying a race kart on a real kart racing track? Now you can with our Arrive & Drive Kart Racing Experience. A great entree to the sport of kart racing, your Race Experience will include safety instruction, safety equipment if you don't already have your own, as well as use of one of our Honda Engine Powered Birel race karts.
Available for Juniors and Seniors, our race experience packages are designed to take you from beginner at controlled speeds, all the way to full speed as you progress through the program.

The LaFayette Motorsports Park, located just south of Syracuse, NY, is a 0.5 mile of reconfigurable asphalt road course track with the addition of a dirt track section for SuperMoto events. The largest road course configuration is made up of ten turns, six left (including the hairpin) and four right, as well as a long straightaway through the start/finish line uphill to the hairpin.
We strongly encourage even the youngest of drivers to visit with their parents to learn about this exciting, low-cost way to get into motorsports. We offer the COMPKART University race school for drivers 5 years old and up in one of our CIK-FIA sanctioned Kid-Karts or Cadet karts. Many of the world's best Formula 1, Indy and NASCAR drivers started their careers in kart racing.
Kart racing is a great and relatively inexpensive way to get into competitive open-wheel racing whether you are young or old. The LaFayette Motorsports Park runs a number of races throughout the season, including a club championship points series. Our primary focus is racing CIK-FIA sanctioned race karts / go-karts.

TrakPASS is the mandatory wristband insurance program provided by The National Karting Alliance. If a driver does not own their own transponder, a Scoring & Timing Transponder (MyLaps TR2) rental is required for timing and scoring.
NKA Safety Tech Sheet must be completed and turned in before qualifying.

Buy a gift kart →A SUNY Plattsburgh graduate with a bachelor's in communication, Matt has been a race enthusiast his whole life, learning to rebuild engines at a young age with his father, Tony. He has raced at LMP and nationally for over 8 years and worked as a lead mechanic for large race teams across the country. Matt and his best friend Aaron put their heads together and decided to purchase LaFayette Motorsports Park.
A SUNY Plattsburgh graduate with bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Marketing and a minor in Accounting, Aaron grew up with his best friend Matt riding dirt bikes and playing sports. He built his career and relationships in sales before joining Matt to purchase the park and build toward a brighter future.
Gary has been a member of LaFayette Motorsports Park for 7 years. He's had a successful race career with wins and championships under his belt.
Originally from England, Tony is a huge motorsport enthusiast who raced karts in England and the US. Educated as a Mechanical Engineer, he is a perfectionist both mechanically and commercially, and started Goddard Racing Engines — building race-winning Rotax engines for many years.
